Content Warning

A map for my worldbuilding project. This is an “eyeball planet” a special type of tidally locked world. 1 is supposed to look like what people living there would use. 2 is just to visualize what direction the winds are blowing. 3 is with major shipping lanes overlayed (I wanted to include them with the first, but left them out because I didn’t like the vibes)

I'm reading an award-winning scifi book right now and while the writing is good and the author obviously tried to get the science details down, they also obviously didn't do much more than read wikipedia. It's getting painful to read.

I'm editing a an old piece (Fey Fighters) that's never been published.

I came across this line and smiled:

"We’re in a human-made, goblin-enchanted spacecraft, powered by a dryad that’s under the mistaken impression she’s a nuclear reactor, half-piloted by a pixie and half-piloted by a human. Is there anywhere we can go we won’t be shot on sight?"

That's my favorite line, which I'd forgotten about until a few minutes ago.
