I’ve started reading book 9 of #theExpanse and was confused by a huge jump in time. Seemed like a strange choice by the authors.

I accidentally skipped reading book 8. 🤦🏻‍♂️

That sure does explain things!

I’ve been reading all my life and this is the first time I’ve ever made a boneheaded mistake like that.

Guess my reading is on pause until I can get the missing book sent to me, lol.

(The book series is really fucking good, btw).

What a way to ring in the new year - building my book nook (with its amazing custom details, thanks to my brother-in-law). This was an incredibly fun build, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the final result ☺️ #booknook #books
a "book nook" - a 3D diorama designed to fit between books on a standard shelf. This "nook" depicts a tiny book shop. Its walls are lined with shelves of different styles, all packed with books. There are piles of books elsewhere, along with notes, cards and wrapping paper. In the centre, there is a cozy red leather chair, with an open copy of Dune on the seat. a coffee cup is on a nearby table. The use of windows, a mirror and a warm LED light make the nook look welcoming and magical. The sign above the entrance reads "Schrödingers" - a custom touch - it's the name of my local bookshop.
