I like the Dragon Age, Fantasy AGE systems. I do think they suffer a little bit from not having the vast trove of monsters, magic items and lore that D&D has.

Curious to see how the system works for a sci-fi rpg.

I have only skimmed the rules so far, but I applaud the writers for getting the first page of the GMs section right.

Was watching #StarTrek Discovery last night and saw an example of a common #SciFi scene that irks me: "Oh, is that a book, I've never seen one in person before, how quaint, isn't that inefficient mass to storage..."

It bugged me in #TheExpanse too.

Because like, we've been doing digital computers for a while now and if anything, storage has gotten more volatile, not less. Meanwhile, I'm just someone who wanders used bookstores and buys cool things and I have 19th Century #books. Intact.

I’ve started reading book 9 of #theExpanse and was confused by a huge jump in time. Seemed like a strange choice by the authors.

I accidentally skipped reading book 8. 🤦🏻‍♂️

That sure does explain things!

I’ve been reading all my life and this is the first time I’ve ever made a boneheaded mistake like that.

Guess my reading is on pause until I can get the missing book sent to me, lol.

(The book series is really fucking good, btw).

Finished my rewatch of #TheExpanse and I remain convinced it's damn near perfect.

There's some strong contenders out there for best recent #SciFi shows — #Foundation probably being my favourite, despite its flaws and departures from the books — but I think it still comes out on top.
