@georgetakei Ken White (aka PopeHat) and Josh Barro have a podcast called Serious Trouble (/shill), and he is every but as entertaining there as he is on the fedi.

And at least so far, he can't seem to keep the stock price of #tesla up. Wonder if there is an implant for that as well.

@georgetakei One way you can tell Canada is still as friendly as everyone remembers: there are Teslas, including CyberTrucks in Toronto, and none of them seem to be vandalized.

I bet their sales went down mighty fast, though.

@georgetakei Well, his #Tesla 'gigafactory' in Germany is once again in the headlines for worst working conditions, many illegal in Germany. One of the biggest unions made them public 4 days ago: https://www.tagesschau.de/wirtschaft/unternehmen/tesla-krankmeldungen-gruenheide-100.html

There is talk of a battlefield and human trafficking methods: https://www.focus.de/finanzen/menschenverachtendes-system-tesla-in-gruenheide-keine-lohnfortzahlung-mehr-fuer-laenger-erkrankte-mitarbeiter_id_260760683.html (you can read it with machine translation)

The #tesla market cap had been over us$1t for so long, now they can barely keep it at us$800b.

Yesterday it was us$774b

#marketcap = stock price x number of shares

I've always wondered how these cars ever passed any type of safety test. RIP to the students.

"The Highway Patrol’s investigation into a November Cybertruck crash in Piedmont where three college kids died is finding two very Tesla problems: the vehicle immediately caught fire, and its doors would not open."

I hate cars. I have always said it won't be killer military robots that come to kill us like in "The Terminator"; it will be self driving cars, robotic janitors, maids, groundskeepers and AI controlled houses that will kill us. Car manufactures, dealers and drivers are almost never held accountable when their products or negligence kill people. In 2023, 40,000 people were killed by cars in the USA. #Terminator #FuckCars#Tesla#ClassWar

πŸ“‰ A work of art indeedβ€”Tesla’s AI narrative is finally meeting reality.

Tech leaders can’t hide behind hype forever. The market is watching, and so are we.

AI is not a shortcut to profitβ€”it’s a responsibility. Time to start treating it that way.

@georgetakei To be fair, George @georgetakei, they probably sold because #tesla shares are tanking. However, continued #divestment will multiply this 'snowball' effect.

@georgetakei In #Germany its especially noticeable: While the number of newly registered electric cars recovered by 53.5% (to 34500, after a massive drop last year because subsidies got gutted), registrations for #Tesla cars dropped by 60% (again) to merely 1277 cars.

Its not only #Musk s antics though, their main models here did not age well compared to the competition, while Musk tries to breed a pickup with a Dolorean for people who won't buy a EV....
