If you're curious how astronomers find & identify a disintegrating planet, here's the full paper.

The planet BD+05 4868 Ab used to be the size of Mercury. Now it's the size of the Moon. In a few million years, it will be gone.

3D simulation of 50,000 dust grains in the corotating frame of the orbiting planet, integrated for up to 30 planetary orbits. The host star is shown to scale, while the planet's size is inflated by a factor of 50. This is the view from above the plane of the planet's orbit.

A 饝惔饝惗饝悷饝惗 (hiti) is an ancient Newah urban water feature: a stepped, sunken courtyard with waterspouts and a central pool. These are fed through a remarkable network of pipes, reservoirs, and irrigation systems drawing water from mountain springs dozens of kilometres away. Every day, hundreds of people from the neighbourhood come to draw water, bathe, and exchange news. They are a unique and precious feature of Newa urban architecture through which neighbourhoods are created.
