War-justification-of-the-day is that the U.S. had to strike because Israel was going to with or without the U.S.—which would've led to blowback including against the U.S. and the U.S. didn't think they could defend themselves against that without striking first.

What an admission—from supposedly the most powerful, capable military in the world, and when the only reason Israel can wage war on anyone is that it's equipped with U.S. weapons.
