One of my players wants to a play a dog person in my Alternity/Stardrive game. Fits in well enough with the setting, but I would like some lore to go with it: can anyone point me towards any dog like aliens from other science fiction settings that I could borrow ideas from? Don't care what medium it is, though, obviously ttrpgs would be the easiest to steal from

@Canageek Traveller's Imperium setting has the Vargr who are dog/wolf-like aliens. Space Opera had the option for canine species.
I happen to have Space Opera on my computer here right now so I'll show you the ideas they have:
The old "Space Opera" TTRPG from Fantasy Games Unlimited (FGU) has rules for "Canines." In the official setting there was a star nation called the Rauwoof Republic. Don't have more details handy, sorry.
