It's the oil, everyone.
@georgetakei The only possible thing TrumPOS could be talking about here was when Venezuela nationalized the oil companies, but that was back in the 1970s - 1980s. Yes, USA oil conglomerates had pretty massive investments in VZ's infrastructure, but that's not the same thing as "our oil"
@georgetakei Mensa having to add negative IQ to the scale - they prepared a beta with Bush but needs pushing to production now.
@georgetakei It is but it isn't. This feels much more of a wag the dog situation. It was just easy because of the support from his oil buddies.
@georgetakei Nope. It's the Epstein files.
@georgetakei Sioux or Apache uprising against the people who stole their oil?
"Children and fools tell the truth"
(as we say in Germany: "Kinder und Narren sagen die Wahrheit")
The vulture capitalist, Paul Singer gets kind of nasty over his court cases.
He's the 7th largest GOP donor, & he expects prompt service for his bribery.

@georgetakei „our oil“. Fossil fuels drive nothing but wars. Time to end them
Nothing new so far!
Video is from 7 days ago.
@georgetakei there was doubt?
maybe yes, maybe also earth metals.
What Trump seems to have actually said is that they took our oil rights, which is different from taking our oil and not as crazy. Of course, he doesn't mention the corruption that led to U.S. businesses getting those oil rights. My guess is that Trump wants to treat Venezuela the way the restored French monarchy treated Haiti: he doesn't want to be outdone by another king, even one long dead.
@georgetakei pretend i am acting suprised.
@georgetakei how the hell ... next step: he claims PNG gold is actually his & all the BWA diamonds belong to him.
Fuck the Oilygarchy! 👊
@georgetakei if he makes war he can make peace later and get the nobel peace price
"If Russia can do it in Ukraine," (he probably thinks) "why can't I?"
Now, about the Epstein files?
@georgetakei well tell that to the rest of the "civilised west", they don't seem to be too bothered as long as their corporations also get piece of the pie as usual. But look China even build a port for their empire rather than flattening one, all the usual foaming at the mouth "we are definitely not white supremacist" but how dare they outrage...
@georgetakei he's just so obvious with his bullshit.
@georgetakei Honestly, I'm glad that we won't have to deal with people pretending that this is for some other reason.
@georgetakei
yes big tankers loaded up and took all the oil to vz and didn't pay.
@georgetakei A repeat of Iraq.
UK right now: America took our colony, we want it back. They took it illegally. It's ours.
@georgetakei I heard that he was after the rare earth in the region just like when he went after Greenland.
@georgetakei I remember some soldiers being interviewed during the Iraq war. They were asked if they knew why they were there. The American soldiers talked about "democracy" and "regime change" and the Brits said "It's the oil, innit." #uspol #Venezuela #Trump
@georgetakei @aspeed took it with what, a fucking straw?!
@georgetakei
No, it is the fear of losing power. Wars have always called on American presidents in the recent past to distract from other problems and to rally the majority of the people behind them for upcoming elections.
@georgetakei If Trump shit in a baby's mouth, the mainstream media would report that he had fed a hungry child.
And what is he even talking about? He sounds maniacal.
हिति , in Nepāl Bhāṣā, is the word for a shared community water tap. Even in modern Newar cities, these ancient structures still pour out fresh mountain water piped through ancient underground filters and conduits. They are a place to wash, to talk, to drink, to meet the locals: a nourishing, refreshing social-ecological place.
