Sadly, living in the US I sometimes legally carry very similar concealed gear - down to the number spare magazines - not out of fear of minorities or to intimidate anyone, but because I’m prepared for threats from someone who looks just like me, and I have a family to protect.
States aren’t “agents” of the federal government. Amendment X: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States….” Also, our Constitution assigns to the states the administration of federal elections, dumb ass.
