The trouble is he wasn't the source. He just removed the cap and filter from the same fountain of entrenched hatred that had been simmering under the surface for years. He's certainly responsible for EXACERBATING the problem, but I admit I liked some of the commercials because yeah... the excuses for hating others sound stupid. It was nice to see it boiled down to this, because it is stupid in the long run.
Like a toddler throwing a tantrum in a store, only to see mom do the same thing to reflect what it looks like right back to it... we need to be shown in simple terms how dumb what we do is sometimes. And that our justifications for how we think or say or treat others doesn't fly if someone does it to us.
People are insular and stupid these days. Let's hope the PERSON becomes smarter and takes it to heart... then the people may do so as a whole as well.
