📢 (1/3) A quick announcement 😊 !

I decided to move servers with this #diningcar account from the big instance "mastodon.social" to "rail.chat".

I did this because, I think the re-centralization is bad. As people join #Mastodon, there’s a natural tendency to join over-sized servers that don’t fit well with the original design of Mastodon and can lead to problems.

This account is a railway-enthusiastic account. I share pictures from trips with dining cars (mainly from Europe, where I live!)

📢 (2/3) I decided to switch to rail.chat for the following reasons:

1. It's an English🇺🇸 🇬🇧 -speaking instance and I toot mostly in English (often with many mistakes as it isn't my 1st language [which is German🇩🇪 ]), allthough I'm living in #Europe, #Austria🇦🇹 , #Vienna

2. A user of this instance, @andreaswiedenhoff highly recommended joining this instance, which was convincing 👍 !
