57 years ago, December 24, 1968: "Earthrise", Apollo 8 astronaut Bill Anders got a picture of Earth rising above the Moon. It was the first time anyone had seen our world from the Moon. In Dec 2023, I visited the Heritage Flight Museum at Skagit Airport #KBVS in Burlington WA. The museum contains aviation and space artifacts of Apollo 8 astronaut and USAF Major General William "Bill" Anders. Since he took the Earthrise photo, there's an exhibit about it in the Apollo 8 section of the museum.
