So, from today, refugee status in the UK will be limited to 30 months - and on each review, if it is deemed that their originating country is not longer dangerous, they will be returned.
Unlike other measures to 'toughen' the refugee regime, this can be enacted merely as a change in existing rules & this requires no parliamentary scrutiny.
If, anyone thinks this will win Labour votes in the local elections, they may well be disappointed!

Die Erklärung zur Begrenzung der Zuwanderung sieht unter anderem eine vollständige Schließung der deutschen Grenzen vor. Ein Paradigmenwechsel kündigt sich an: weg vom Schutz von Geflüchteten, hin zu Abschottung und Abschreckung.
Die Dokumentation beginnt an den europäischen Außengrenzen, wo eine andauernde humanitäre Katastrophe auf staatliche Ignoranz trifft, aber auch auf ziviles Engagement.
