I'm a (recovering) software engineer by trade, an electronics hobbyist and amateur guitarist by night, and a house-rabbit enthusiast and ambassador all the time.
I live in the windswept prairies of Canada.
I like fixing things and taking things apart to figure out how they work. I volunteer at the local Repair Cafe and enjoy helping others with their broken stuff.

Still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. Former educator and tech person now back with the Department of Education on the tech/policy/program side. Born and raised in Hawaii. Spent 15 years in Silicon Valley before returning to island life. Loves learning, things that make me laugh hard, taking pictures, my dog, taking pictures of my dog. You get the idea.
Iβm a #hippie at heart, but with an engineerβs brain.β¦itβs so confusing. I enjoy all types of movies/series, but especially #SciFi (#StarTrek, #StarWars, #TheOrville, #TheExpanse, #BattlestarGalactica, etc.).
I'm a big #TheLordOfTheRings fan. And, yes, I am enjoying the #TheRingsOfPower series. #LOTR
Exploring the outdoors is also something that brings me joy (#scubadiving, #hiking, #biking, #camping, #fishing, etc.).
Taking life one day at a time. Be kind π
I have always been a game designer, not for the computer, but in-person, especially board games and tabletop roleplaying games. I also love chess and music, and I embrace humor. I'm a mostly liberal Christian man in a committed relationship.
For 40 years, I wrote in anonymity--discreetly crafting corporate content. Today, I write an eclectic mix of stories for thinkers and doers of a certain age. #RoadCyclist, #NordicWalker, husband, father, grandfather, humanist. #criticalThinking, #philosophy, #science, #photography, #writing, #nonfiction, #gardening, #craftbeer, #tools
