Project Hail Mary (2026)

Project Hail Mary is one of one a few movies in which I prefer the film adaptation over the book that it is based on. Drew Goddard does a wonderful job of streamlining Andy Weir's already fantastic story. Goddard keeps Weir's story intact, but puts more emphasis on the relationship between Grace and Rocky while simplifying the science of the book. The Grace and Rocky relationship is better in the movie.

Project Hail Mary is a feast for the eyes, this is a beautiful film and there are genuine scenes of wonder in the movie that had me with my jaw dropped.

Ryan Gosling is perfectly cast in the role of Ryland Grace -- he is one of a few actors that can pull off drama and comedy perfectly. I cannot imagine anyone else in this role.

Directors, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, find the perfect balance in the tones of the movie. They movie smoothly between drama, comedy and action.

Project Hail Mary is a movie is about redemption, sacrifice and friendship. I highly recommend Project Hail Mary.

Grace Rocky awesome. Fist the bump.

I like the ending of the movie better, it is almost the same as the book but a bit more hopeful.
