Finished a cyberpunk #ttrpg campaign that ran for 7 years today. It was quite epic. They managed to save their city and maybe started a revolution in the process. While reminiscing about the party’s exploits afterwards, the things that stuck out most were:

  • That premium coffee maker they risked limb and life for.
  • An epic chase through the city‘s canals on motorboats below and across balconies and roofs above.
  • That one time they hid an explosive ass in a server room.
  • How they turned a police android into a gangster rapper (he has a record contract now).
  • How they fended off an onslaught of ornery cleaning bots which downed half the party due to bad luck and situational idiocy.
  • The train they drove into an enemy cyborg. Through a wall.
  • That night in Paris that made local news.
  • How their fixer made them brave the euro underworld, angering local gangs and get in the crosshairs of a professional killer — all for a box of pralines … that were really just pralines. Their fixer had a sweet tooth and you could only get them there.

And many more.

It was a good campaign. 😊 We‘re now talking about what to do next.

Hiti

हिति , in Nepāl Bhāṣā, is the word for a shared community water tap. Even in modern Newar cities, these ancient structures still pour out fresh mountain water piped through ancient underground filters and conduits. They are a place to wash, to talk, to drink, to meet the locals: a nourishing, refreshing social-ecological place.
