@georgetakei The key phrase is “higher percentage of income on basic needs”, ie food, shelter, utilities. Some one making $30k spends a higher percentage on basic needs than those making $400k.
@georgetakei Wealthy people just spend more, but on high priced goods made elsewhere.

Oh, are they tariffing yachts and jets now? Didn't think so!
@georgetakei being said by the same people who tell the poor to drink less latte and eat less avocado.
There was a lady in France in the 18th century who advised the poor to eat cake. What happened to her…?
@georgetakei he looks like Neil Patrick Harris
So we're at "trickle-down #tarifs" now?
@georgetakei
it’s hard to believe that people who are supposed to understand money haven’t heard of walmart
@georgetakei Trump seems to have chosen some of the most stupid people in the US to be in positions of power. This guy hasn't got a clue when it comes to who spends on what. The 99% are a far bigger group than the 1%.
#ShitForBrains in #Trumpistan. #LiarsGonnaLie about everything. DON"T BELIEVE A SINGLE WORD THEY SAY OR WRITE.

The chocolate ration has been increased from 30 grams to 20 grams.

US Trade Representative Greer demonstrates that, like Trump, he knows FA about economics or tariffs.
@huntingdon Not surprising, isn't it?
So... he's on the list, right?
If you Trump, you're a creeper with short eyes 100%. Or an arbitrary 150% in this case.
@georgetakei It's a deliberate lie by Trump's Trade Rep, who knows tariffs are regressive taxes. He also knows the voters he's pitching to don't know what the phrase "regressive taxes" means but will buy the assertion that rich people spend more money without thinking about it at all.
@georgetakei most being done by the wealthiest people is failure, there are far more people who are not "the wealthiest", meaning a smaller total volume. These people have a retardation, mentally.
@georgetakei Doesn't want to, or admit to.
हिति , in Nepāl Bhāṣā, is the word for a shared community water tap. Even in modern Newar cities, these ancient structures still pour out fresh mountain water piped through ancient underground filters and conduits. They are a place to wash, to talk, to drink, to meet the locals: a nourishing, refreshing social-ecological place.
