@georgetakei Merrick Garland should have indicted Trump, but ultimately didn't. Yes the Maga crowd would have been furious, and the country would have been fractured, but I argue that it would have been orders of magnitude simpler to manage than the deep, deep chaos the entire world is slowly sinking into. Not that it's all due to Trump and the US, not that Garland is the sole responsible for him coming back on power, but still, this would have been a clear inflexion point.
