Moral cowardice. Where was this sentiment when he was in office?
@georgetakei I remember when he ran for president on a don’t ever tax the rich platform.
@DavidNielsen Interesting turn of events.
@georgetakei Fuck Romney. He’s just worried that we’ll loot his mansion first.
Does he still identify as a Republican? I'm with Darmok and Jalad.
There Are Not Any Good Republicans Anymore.
@georgetakei social inequality leads to social violence
@georgetakei The rich are rich enough to find someone to discover a loophole they can use - for example today the rich often use their money to guarantee a loan which they use for investing (to avoid tax). If this is ever implemented it would need to be on something like net worth and watertight!
pre reagan era taxes on billionaires.
@georgetakei Wow, he’s still alive huh… that’s kind of the headline, hahahaha back to irrelevancy Mitten. LOL.
@georgetakei
There is a reason Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins. It damages society by concentrating wealth into too few hands. The "Greed is good" that was preached in the early years of Reaganomics is bad for society. It kills off consumption, thus strangling GDP. We need to go back to the tax rates and system we had at the end of the 1960s. It punished short term speculation and money chasing wealth, and encouraged investments in new infrastructure and improving productivity.

@georgetakei Mitt "Corporations are people, my friend" Romney is a big reason we're being run by scumbags and broligarcs. Screw him.
@georgetakei
Well, we've all lived long enough to see that.
Romney’s been an enemy of democracy for years.
Sometimes he tosses tiny little breadcrumbs from his balcony. A show vote here. A mild rebuke there.
He’ll never help us. Bookmark this. He’ll never truly help.
@georgetakei I can't help it but think that this is just some weird tactics to calm the waves now that the moron has stirred everything up and people are openly against him and the GOP. I don't believe Romney is really behind such a tax.
@georgetakei meanwhile he would be able to do some good things with his money without being taxed.
@georgetakei I am so very tired of conservatives admitting they were in the wrong once they're no longer relevant.
Along with Republicans who will criticize their president, but only in private.
हिति , in Nepāl Bhāṣā, is the word for a shared community water tap. Even in modern Newar cities, these ancient structures still pour out fresh mountain water piped through ancient underground filters and conduits. They are a place to wash, to talk, to drink, to meet the locals: a nourishing, refreshing social-ecological place.
