Article I, Β§9:

``No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.''

Gonna assume that the #OrangePeril didn't get congressional sign-off.

@georgetakei

In 2024, approximately 6,030 Aston Martins, over 94,000 Land Rovers, and 5,712 Rolls-Royces were sold in the US.Β

So the 100,000 British cars that an be sold in the US before tariffs matches the number of expensive cars wealthy people buy. No taxes for the rich.

@georgetakei *sigh* I know the author of this post is being hyperbolic for effect (either that or they don't actually understand the rules they followed in the military), but, in fact, government employees visiting contractor sites can absolutely "accept a cup of coffee and a doughnut," both because they are below the $20 threshold (they are de minimis) and because they would typically be offered to anyone in that context, i.e., they aren't targeted at the fed.
Facts matter, y'all.
