@georgetakei In the 90's, everyone wore cheap Versace, Fendi, Gucci, and other logo covered tshirts and whatnot, to pretend they were somehow with the elite people who wear those brands' actually expensive items.

I think the celebs are riding that, and have actually overtaken that market.

Next comes it's part of the natural progression: Ivy Part by Beyonsee, Sausage x Fengy by Reeanna, C Label by Goon, Shrew House by Beeber, and so on.

@georgetakei Everyone needs a hobby. They can do what they want to be happy just like anyone else. But their wealth and income above a certain level, should be donated back to society, 100%. They have enough, they 'won' at the economic part of life, and now their succes can strengthen the society that offered them that opportunity, and help others live good lives as well. So no superyachts or private jets, but real contributions to a better world. #limitarianism

@georgetakei The problem isn't the side hustle; it's the people who hoard wealth. I'm reminded of Puff Daddy, who started "Sean John" clothing after he was already comfortably rich as a musician. He made clothes in sweatshops and sold them for $$$ in the US. That's pure greed, IMHO, but perhaps he is a bad example of this phenomenon because he seems to be a raging sociopath.

@georgetakei

The attempt to fling the accusation of hypocrisy at Tina Fey, saying her doing commercials is a side hustle is a stretch that doesn't reach. Doing commercials is an acting gig. She's makes her living as an actor (and writer/producer). That's not a side hustle, it's what she does for a living.
