Climate Camp Scotland

The "Energy Transition Zone" or ETZ is a fossil-fuel sponsored industry conglomerate, backed by oil billionaire Ian Woods. The label is used to explore carbon capture and storage designed to keep oil and gas running, as well as relocate oil and gas shipment and infrastructure to a convenient location.

The side effects of this: a working class community loses their last bit of accessible greenspace, St Fittick's Park, a beautiful biodiversity hub loved by locals in Torry.

The first phase of the ETZ plans will destroy a large section of the burn
that runs through the park. “Realignment works” as the “Energy
Transition Zone” folk put it.
This is the final preparation for bulldozing all the woodland to create the
space for whatever factory they have planned - even at this point, no one
knows what that will actually be.

Hiti

हिति , in Nepāl Bhāṣā, is the word for a shared community water tap. Even in modern Newar cities, these ancient structures still pour out fresh mountain water piped through ancient underground filters and conduits. They are a place to wash, to talk, to drink, to meet the locals: a nourishing, refreshing social-ecological place.
